I was next to the lady who took these and she got some pretty fucking good shots despite the shitty lighting in the Black Cat. It’s funny because I remember just looking at everyone’s shoes at one point. When I got so fed up with the pink and blue lighting on the band’s faces I looked down at their pedals and tangled cords and normal-dude feet. There were guitar picks on the floor and tape guidelines the band ignored. The carpet looked like a living room carpet. Really surreal, like you’re a couple feet away from these people and it’s like they’re playing in your living room but still on some level there’s a wall of glass, I was so close no one could hear me.
k. anonymous, glitter space cowboy/ riot grrrl dude. anyone can make art. hardcore for queercore. hopelessly disillusioned, hopelessly devoted.
